The Goff-Bol™ Max Solanum bolus has been scientifically designed to manage calcium challenges at the onset of lactation in dairy cows

Hypocalcemia is a disorder that predisposes the animal to various other metabolic and infectious disorders. Maintaining normal blood calcium levels has been shown to reduce secondary disease, improve milk production, and financially benefit the farm.¹

Goff-Bol™ Max products contain a combination of calcium salts in an amount that ensures passive absorption of calcium across the rumen wall, increasing blood calcium concentration for 10 - 12 hours after administration. Calcium chloride, a major component of Goff-Bol™ Max, is provided in an amount that induces mild acidosis - similar to the effects of a DCAD diet.

Goff-Bol™ Max contain leaves of Solanum glaucophyllum combined with rapidly absorbed calcium salts. Solanum leaves provide a natural and unique form of vitamin D that stimulates intestinal calcium absorption to help the cow maintain normal blood calcium levels for 96 hours of lactation.

Goff-Bol™ Max boluses are coated with xanthan gum that comes into contact with saliva in the cow’s mouth to lubricate the passage of the bolus through the esophagus.
